My natural surroundings were my toys

I grew up in a small valley surrounded by forests, with a small stream that runs nearby. I never played with industry-produced toys; my natural surroundings were my toys. It was a time full of adventures with nature and its creatures, but times have since changed. I have left that part of my life behind but my memory often goes back to a tiger that was killed by people only 3 km away from my village. It is hard to believe now that the majestic tigers are gone forever from this region. We have lost the tiger in my native hilltracks, but they are still present in the Sundarbans.

The beautiful mangrove forest is still home to many tigers but they need our help. It is hard to imagine that there may be no more tigers walking in the Sundarbans and that our children could be left with only tiger stories. I believe people can save tigers but we need to act now. WildTeam has given me the platform to work together with others who are also passionate to save tigers in the Sundarbans.

I have always been passionate about the outdoors. I love my work, my team and its vision and mission. This is a challenging job with few guarantees, but it is a job that truly gives me personal satisfaction and happiness. Working with a multicultural group of young, friendly co-workers who are highly dedicated and committed to save tigers and the Sundarbans is both challenging and brilliant. I am the person who loves to live with nature, anytime ready to get wet or muddy, to secure the future of the tiger and nature for my country and world.

I believe all humans have a duty to do their part for nature. Members of WildTeam are in a position to educate people with sound scientific research and practices, which we have done and will continue to do. I enjoy working at WildTeam and I do not hesitate to invite you to join your hands to help, because only together we can bring change to people and nature.
